9 Recommendations for Asch

    Asch is great project, and I’m a huge believer in the long-term success of Asch. Unfortunately, in the last 6 months, Asch has gone from a top 70 to a top 140 coin. I believe the majority of this decline is due to the government closing down Chinese exchanges. Asch’s major market is China, and this has made it difficult for Chinese citizens to purchase cryptocurrency. However, I also believe some of the decline is due to do marketing and transparency with the western community. Here are nine recommendations for Asch to move back into the top 70 and beyond:

    1. Roadmap — Asch should release a roadmap on its website with clear dates to show the vision of Asch. Dates should include major events (Asch 2.0, Mobile Wallets, Expanding the Team) including the suggestions below.

    2. Major Exchange — Since I started following Asch in September 2017, there has been a consistent request from the community for Asch to get on a large exchange. I’ve heard the team has submitted to Binance many times without success. This is unfortunate. However, there are many other top exchanges. Asch should seek to get on a top 10 exchange that fits best with its strategy.

    3. Plan for Community Funds — Asch should lay out a plan for the community funds. Asch should publicize the address of the funds and provide updates to the community when large portions are used. According to the web app, there are over 1M Asch in the community fund. Some of the funds could be put toward hiring a top design firm or paying to get on a large exchange. These are both commonly requested by the community.

    4. Increased Transparency — This covers a number of areas: project updates, team information, and community funds. It would help to know who makes certain decisions at Asch. For example, who is part of the Asch Singapore Foundation? Who has the authority to withdraw and spend the community funds? Many other projects have websites for the foundation to provide details around the members and vision of the foundation.

    5. Team Announcements — I know there has been some back and forth about whether to put pictures/names/titles of Asch team members on the website. Even if it’s not on the website, this information should be provided to the community. As a decentralized project, the community should know who is team is, especially those with formal titles — CEO, COO, CMO, CTO, etc. Many of the top coins provide information about their team.     6. Bounty Plan — Asch has been very generous with rewarding community members for contributions of all sorts. A clear bounty plan would attract additional talent and also bring improvements to Asch. Asch should create a plan around bounties and make it public.     7. Grant System — This would work well in conjunction with the plan for community funds. Ethereum has released a system to help fund projects on the Ethereum block chain: https://blog.ethereum.org/2018/01/02/ethereum-scalability-research-development-subsidy-programs/ This allows for teams to submit proposals and have their projects funded by the Ethereum Foundation. I think this would be a huge draw to developers who work inside and outside of China to propose projects and be rewarded for their efforts.

    8. DApp Updates — Asch should partner with the DApps to provide the community with a flow of updates on how the projects are moving forward. This would be a regular stream of excitement and positive news to the community. If each DApp team provided one update per month, there would be two announcements each week about the DApps. Two announcements a week would be huge for social media and would constantly keep excitement up about Asch.

    9. DApp Competition — This has been discussed for three months but there hasn’t been a formal announcement or any marketing. Is this the 2018 Global (Shanghai) Blockchain Application Entrepreneurship Competition? I wasn’t sure because I thought Asch was having their own competition. Even if the competition is months out, the competition should be announced along with all the relevant details so teams can start working on the projects. It also allows the marketing team time to get the word out to prospective applicants.

    I believe in the Asch team and hope they can continue to make improvements. The level of excitement around all the DApps is great, but I think Asch can be much bigger than it currently is. The team has been working hard, and I’m looking forward to Asch’s future success.
